  3. 03

    PAN, TAN and registrations

Company PAN and TAN, plus EPFO and ESIC registration through AGILE-PRO, issued with the certificate.

Questions

Q1How many people do I need?

Two directors and two shareholders. The same two people can hold both roles, so two individuals are enough. At least one director must be resident in India.

Q2Is there a minimum capital requirement?

No. The minimum paid-up capital requirement was removed by the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2015. Incorporate with nominal authorised capital and increase it later.

Q3Can a foreign national or NRI be a director?

Yes, provided at least one director is resident in India. Documents for foreign nationals must be notarised or apostilled abroad, which usually adds a week.

Q4What has to be done after incorporation?

Appoint an auditor within 30 days, file INC-20A before commencing business, maintain statutory registers, and file AOC-4 and MGT-7 annually. We hand you a dated calendar for all of it.
